The Cosmos atrosanguineus, also known as the chocolate cosmos is a dark red to maroon-dark brown perennial native to Mexico. Like many chocolates they have a light vanillin fragrance. This herbaceous perennial deserves a sunny and sheltered place in your garden. Do make sure you provide water to the newly planted roots.
