Allium Globemaster®
Allium Globemaster was already well known since the 1960’s, however it took 20 years of cultivation before the amount of this allium was large enough to be sold. The Globemaster is a huge and tall flower (80 cm) that is in blooming process all month – between June and July and has a pleasant violet shade. This allium is incredibly strong and sturdy, so it can carry its round and tightly packed flower cluster in good or bad weather conditions.
Allium belongs to the same family as garlic and onion, that is why it’s called an “ornamental onion”. Make sure to plant your allium in a dry and well-drained (sandy) soil and open areas with full sun.
