ALPINE AND ROCK PLANTS

QFB Gardening has a special selection of rock and alpine plants. Rock and alpine plants are very suitable for stony surfaces, but these easy plants also thrive in the garden on dry, sandy soils. You can apply them very nicely along the edge of a path, at the front of a border or near the terrace.

Planting alpine and rock plants

We would like to eliminate a common misunderstanding - that rock and alpine plants should be on stone or stony ground - out of the world. They are of course very suitable for stony surfaces, but another good location is on dry, sandy surfaces. In addition, they generally like calcareous soil.

The often very floriferous and undemanding rock plants can also be used perfectly for planting graves in cemeteries. Another misunderstanding is that these plants consist only of succulents. This is partly true, but there are many more species that can be used at these locations. Be inspired by the range of alpine and rock plants selected by QFB Gardening.

For the best results, we recommend combining different perennials. Pay attention to a mix of different flowering times, so that you not only have flowering plants in the spring but also in the autumn. By planting a combination of different varieties, you have a nice variation of different types of leaf shape, flower shape and flowering time. This allows you to optimally enjoy a garden with perennials!
