- Maak eerst de grond waar de alliumbollen geplant zullen worden goed los. Dan is de grond makkelijker te bewerken.
- Graaf een gat en zorg dat het 2 tot 3 keer zo diep is als de hoogte van de bollen. Zorg dat de afstand tussen de bollen 2 keer zo groot is als de diameter van de bollen.
- Plant de bloembollen in het gat met de puntige kant naar boven of met de wortelbasis naar beneden.
- Bedek de alliumbollen met aarde en geef ze goed water.
