The Begonia Marmorata is a sturdy, double-flowered gem, known for its bright red petals decorated with delicate white spots. These stunning flowers are framed by a dense, bushy growth of generously toothed leaves. Begonias Marmorata can be admired for months and are among the true summer and autumn bloomers. Begonias are low-maintenance and require little attention. The large-flowered, double red-white marbled flowers look great in planters on balconies or terraces but also in the garden among lower annual plants. The best planting period for begonias is spring after the danger of frost has passed. Plant the tubers with their hollow side up, about 20 cm apart and cover them with a thin layer of soil. Begonias can overwinter just fine if you take the necessary action. We recommend removing the tubers from the soil when the first night frost is forecast. During the winter, store them in a dry place. In spring, when there is no more chance of night frost, you can plant the begonias back in the garden. Begonias prefer semi-shade. However, if the begonias are in full sun, make sure you water them liberally (sun 2-3 times a week). Water the plants in the afternoon when the bright sun has disappeared.
