Calla (Zantedeschia) Captain Odeon® has a fresh yellow to orange-red cup-shaped spathe with green elements. This variety has a bright and almost subtropical appearance and will look great in your conservatory.
Zantedeschia, also known as calla or arum lily, is native to southern Africa. It was discovered by the Italian doctor and plant describer Giovanni Zantedeschi, who classified this tuber under the arum family.
Zantedeschia can be planted in the garden, but not into the full sun. They are extremely suitable as air purifying houseplant or for placement on a terrace. Arum lilies love water, flower for a long period but are sensitive to frost.
Because of its sensual cup this plant often gets associated with love. Giving your wife a calla was an invitation that certainly made her blush!
