One of the most well-known crocuses is the yellow coloured crocus – The Golden Yellow (Crocus vernus ‘Yellow Mammoth’). Crocus vernus grows up to 15 cm tall and shows its characteristic half-opened flowers. The large-flowered crocus – Yellow Mammoth has a stunning golden colour! The flowers bloom in February and March and are one of the earliest announcers of the spring. Only the snowdrops (Galanthus) bloom slightly earlier that crocuses. You can plant them anywhere in your garden and you can leave them in the ground without any worries. They naturalise on their own and might even multiply after some time.
