Dahlia Chat Noir
Add drama and depth to your border with Dahlia 'Chat Noir'. This well-known 'Semi-Cactus' dahlia is an absolute favorite among gardeners and florists, and for good reason. With its impressive, velvety petals ranging from deep wine red to almost black, it lives up to its name ("Black Cat").
Plant the tubers in spring in a sunny spot in fertile, well-drained soil. Keep a distance of about 50 cm between plants, as this dahlia grows considerably tall and wide. Because of the large flowers, it's recommended to support the plant with a support or bamboo stakes.
Deadhead spent flowers regularly. This encourages the plant to produce new buds well into autumn!
